Wrapping up the reading challenges for 2014

I succeeded in meeting the challenges I set out for myself in 2014!

There were three reading challenges that I participated in.

The Fist was from 2014 TBR Pile

I challenged myself to read 10-20 books that were published before 2014, that were on my TBR pile.

I read 12!  That may not seem like much, but for me it's huge!

Here are the books with their titles and review links.  You can find my original post HERE.

The third reading challenge was another challenge that I participated in at Goodreads.  It was the Just for Fun Reading Challenge. I made the goal of reading one book a month that was not a review book. I did it!

Here is the list of the books that I read, the month read, with a review link.

I am committing to read just one book for fun each month!

I also participated in a couple of read-a-thons.

I set a goal of reading 4 or 5 books for this Read-a-Thon.

I finished four books!

Finished Miracle in a Dry Season on 9/8/14
Finished Chances Are 9/10/14
Finished Miss Billings Treads the Boards on 9/13/14
Finished The End Begins: Sudden Darkness on 9/20/14

There was one more read-a-thon!

2. Sweat Unrest on 10/20
I also visited and commented on 5 participating blogs. :)
3. Marriage of Mercy on 10/22
4. An October Bride on 10/22
5. A is for Abstinence 10/23
6. The Brickmaker's Bride on 10/25

My goal for this read-a-thon was to read seven books.  I fell one short of my goal.  I read six.  Still not bad.

So far, I have only committed myself to two challenges for the year.  I plan to read at least 170 books and record them at Goodreads.  I also plan on doing the Just for Fun Challenge.  I will read at least one book of month, because I want to, not because it's for a review.

Did you meet your goals or challenges for 2014?
