Blog Tour~ "Caller ID" by Rachelle J Christensen ~ Review

Caller IDCaller ID by Rachelle J. Christensen

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Source: Netgalley
Genre: Suspense, Fiction

Description from Goodreads:
When twenty-three-year-old Courtney Beckham is abducted near her home, the search turns up more than just a kidnapping crime. FBI agent Jason Edwards investigates the ten-million-dollar ransom and stumbles upon something he wasn't meant to find. When Courtney catches a glimpse of the caller ID in her kidnapper's home, what she sees turns her world upside down.

My thoughts: Courntey is a very active young woman. At twenty-three she is an avid runner and loves to spend time outside. Like many women in this age group she has guy trouble.

In an effort to clear her mind, she takes her horse out for a ride. She gets too close to the forest and remembers her father's warning to stay away from it. There was an unsolved murder the previous year and he is worried for his only child.

Her dog runs into the forest and she has to chase him down. She finds something that she is not supposed to see. This leads to her kidnapping.

Enter the police and the FBI. This becomes more than a case of kidnapping. They need to save Courtney and collect evidence of something far more involved and sinister.

I have officially become a Rachelle Christensen fan. I read her other book "Wrong Number" and loved it. This book did not disappoint and if anything made me more anxious to read the books that she will write. (It's a wish on my  part anyway.)  She writes in a very smooth voice.  The plot is intricate and enjoyable.

There is a little romance interest in this book which I completely love. I highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
