Blogoversary + 1000 Followers Giveaways Day #1 (Intl)

The day that I began posting on this blog was October 12, 2010.  It's hard to believe that it has been a year already and it's amazing to me that I have over 1000 followers.  When I started blogging I had no idea what to expect.  This began as a way for me to put my book recommendations in one spot, so that way when someone asked me what is a good book to read, I had an easy spot to give the recommendations.  When you read a ton of books, like I do, it's hard to remember the really good ones off the top of your head.

I will run each contest for one week.

For day #1

I have decided this week to focus on some of the books that I have read over the past year that I enjoyed and give a high recommendation to. Some of the giveaways will showcase some of my favorite things that I have found while blogging.  Everyday, through the 14th, I will be giving something away that deals with my journey in blogging.

Today I will be giving away "The Girl of Fire and Thorns" by Rae Carson.

This book will be shipped from the Book Depository.
This is an International Contest as long as the Book Depository ships to your country for free.
If you are wondering if they ship to your country, click on this link: http://www.bookdepository.com/help/topic/HelpId/27/Countries-we-ship-to-with-free-delivery#helpContent
This contest will end October 17th

The only required entry is that you follow me on GFC.

You can get extra entries for tweeting or posting on facebook.  Here is a tweet that you can copy and paste.

Here is the synopsis from Goodreads!

Once a century, one person is chosen for greatness.

Elisa is the chosen one.

But she is also the younger of two princesses, the one who has never done anything remarkable. She can’t see how she ever will.

Now, on her sixteenth birthday, she has become the secret wife of a handsome and worldly king—a king whose country is in turmoil. A king who needs the chosen one, not a failure of a princess.

And he’s not the only one who needs her. Savage enemies seething with dark magic are hunting her. A daring, determined revolutionary thinks she could be his people’s savior. And he looks at her in a way that no man has ever looked at her before. Soon it is not just her life, but her very heart that is at stake.

Elisa could be everything to those who need her most. If the prophecy is fulfilled. If she finds the power deep within herself. If she doesn’t die young.

Most of the chosen do.

Fill in the form below to enter.  I will add two extra entries for everyone who tells me how in the heck do I make a solid highlight box instead of just the highlight lines behind text using blogger.  It's driving me nuts.  Even if someone else has answered, everyone who can tell me gets the points.  ;0)  This is an example of what I mean.
