My thoughts: This novella is very good. I usually prefer a longer story, but this caught my attention and caught my interest in the full length novel, Raine. Elemental Princess is the prequel and lays a great foundation to the story that is to come.
Kaesen is a Princess on a dying star. She loves her childhood friend, Alwen, who has become her protector. She has been promised to marry another man, a man she does not love, a man who gives her the creeps.
This novella deals with their struggle to be together. It compares a pure love to evil intentions.
I was impressed by the amount of description and the empathy that I felt for the characters in only 57 pages.
