My thoughts: This book is published in a user friendly format. There is a recipe for each week of the year. You can mix and match recipes, there are many ways to look at the book.

The pictures are fantastic. I don't know if I could get my food to look like that if I tried hard... but as long as they taste good that's OK.

This past Sunday I threw some drumsticks in the crock pot, trying to figure out a way to serve them. I thought about throwing some BBQ sauce in there and decided to check out the book instead. The first recipe I came to was Slow Cooker Sticky Chicken! I had the ingredients in my pantry and decided to give it a try. It was very good. I was happy and my family was happy!

Then next night I had steaks to cook. I wanted a new side dish that I hadn't made before, I again went to this lovely book and mad Easy Mexican Salsa Rice. It was also tasty. There are so many things that I want to try and I'm glad that I will get the chance. I'm thinking maybe the Egg Souffle tonight for dinner served with the Strawberry Lemonade Slush?

In the book they also have family traditions that sound like a lot of fun. I tried using the family dinner conversation starters last night. One of the questions that I asked my kids is #9 If you could trade places with your parents for a day, what would you do differently? I was surprised that their answers weren't critical. My 16 year old daughter said that she wouldn't trade us, she's not ready for that kind of responsibility.  That completely blew me away.

Anyway, I really like this book. :)
