Genre: Western Contemporary Romance

Book Description: A clean romance novella with humor and suspense

Ambitious former rodeo queen Harlee Jo Holiday must fix Oak Whitlock’s broken heart if she’s ever going to get him to help rescue her stolen horses. The only trouble is even Oak’s dog and horse can’t stand to be around him.

Brooding Oak Whitlock can’t get his life on track. That is, until Harlee Jo comes riding in with her hopes and dreams. Between her and her stolen horses, will Oak learn you have to climb right back in the saddle?

My thoughts: Two of Harley Jo's horses are stolen from her ranch. One has just delivered a foal, who needs her mother. Harley is heart broken and desperate to find her horses.

She doesn't get very far with law enforcement and turns to tracker, Oak Whitlock. He is said to be the best and she needs to find the horses asap. She is afraid that she will loose the foal.

The pairing of Harley Jo and Oak is a good one. She is determined to be actively engaged in the search, while he would prefer to do it alone. They bring out feeling in each other that neither is ready to explore, at least for a very short period of time.

This is a quick and clean romance novella. It's perfect for a short reprieve from daily life.

Don't expect character development or plot build up. It is a novella, not much time to explore the characters, but fun to pick up and read.
