Blog Tour ~ "Choir of Angels" by Michele MIrabile
Choir of Angels by Michele Mirabile
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Source: Received from Publisher to review
Genre: Christmas short story
Book Description: This year’s Christmas pageant is going to be the best ever! And Riley is prepared to be the greatest Joseph the pageant has ever seen. The only person standing in his way is Sam, the class bully, but Riley knows he can get the part. What he isn’t prepared for is a lesson in forgiveness in this endearing story about sacrifice and love.
My thoughts: This book captures the spirit of the Christmas season perfectly. The book discusses the issues of forgiveness and good will.
Riley wants more than anything to play Joseph in the school Christmas pageant. He can sing beautifully and knows he would be perfect for the part. The thing that mars his experience is the bullying that he receives from Sam.
Riley's mom tell him why Sam is so sad and angry, it changes everything.
This little pamplet is beautifully written. Riley is a great boy who has physical challenges of his own. The understanding an compassion he shows in the story are inspirational.
