The Gatekeeper's DaughterIn The Gatekeeper's Sons, Therese and Thanatos, the god of Death, met and fell in love. In The Gatekeeper's Challenge, they did everything they could to be together, even break an oath on the River Styx. But the Olympians don't tolerate oath-breakers. In this final book in the trilogy, The Gatekeeper's Daughter, Therese may have finally succeeded in becoming a goddess, but if she wants to remain one, she'll not only have to discover her unique purpose, but also make some allies among the gods. Artemis sends her on a seemingly impossible quest across the world, while Than searches for a way to appease Ares. To make matters worse, her aunt's baby's life hangs in the balance.
My thoughts: The Gatekeeper's Daughter is not the first book in the series. I haven't read any books before this one and was able to follow along. It is set in the modern day but involves the Gods and Goddess' of Greek Mythology.
Therese has just become a Goddess. She and Thanatos went against the will of the Gods when she received her immortality. Now Olympus is not happy. They go through several quests and trials to keep her immortality and end their banishment from Olympus.
The book is entertaining. It is written in a simple to follow writing style. In some instances it could use a little more description. The scenes seem to end early and jump to the next. This really isn't too bothersome. The entertainment factor makes up for it.
