My thoughts: This was a cute and quick contemporary Romance Novella.
Janey comes from a small town in Washington State. She works two jobs and goes to school. She is the constant in her younger brother's life and does a lot to make sure he is fed and taken care of. She remembers what it was like to grow up with their alcoholic mother and wants to help her brother have a stable childhood.
Eric is known throughout the world as Derrik, the rock star. After hitting rock bottom with substance abuse, he runs from his famous life and lands in Washington State. He is staying at Apple Blossom Inn, the same place where Janey works. Her spunky personality and the fact that she doesn't know who he is attracts him.
The two are very cute together and Eric has a great personality. He is a genuine person who is really good for Janey. They have a rocky start and some rocky moments as she learns of his fame. This is a pairing that you hope will work out and find there happily ever after.
The book has kissing, innuendo, and deals with alcoholism.
