My thoughts: This is a fun book to read for the holidays. The time frame spans between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Eve makes an impromptu decision when she defends a boy who was a stow away on a train. Her instincts told her that the boy needed her protection and she went with the feeling. What she found was a town full of acceptance and a life of her choosing. She also found that she was of more worth than she was led to believe, and a person worthy to love and be loved.

I enjoyed reading this book. The characters are people who I wouldn't mind knowing. They are good people who make the best of the circumstances they find themselves in.

I found in some places I felt like I was being told the story, rather than experiencing it. Most of the story is light hearted and well written. I only felt this way in a few places.

I realized part way through the book that it was part of a series. This book can be read as a stand alone. It would be fun to check out the first two sometime. This is a clean romance.
