My thoughts: Carla Kelly is one of my go-to author's whenever I want a clean and fun romance to read. She sets up great characters in a historical setting that I can relate to.
This book is made up of four short stories. There isn't a lot of time for the characters to get to know each other, the relationships are pretty much insta-love. It didn't bother me too much, the characters are all a little older and the men are all veterans of war. The time is set during the Regency Era.
I liked that the social background of the characters are varied. While each story is set during the same time period, they all have a different feeling to them. Most of this can be attributed to the fact that there are members of the ton as well as commoners as main characters.
