Entangled
Entangled by Traci Hunter Abramson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Source: Received to Review
Genre: Suspense

Book Description Mystery and desperation collide in Entangled, a compilation of novellas that twist, turn, and terrify, penned by four popular suspense authors: Traci Hunter Abramson, Clair M. Poulson, Gregg Luke, and Stephanie Black.

A woman on the run from a man who is always one step ahead.

A mother who will stop at nothing to find her missing daughter.

A wife determined to discover the source of the illness attacking her husband.

A newlywed caught in a web of murder, unsure of whom to trust.

Featuring a chilling cast of villains, these stories tell the tale of strong heroines forced to make perilous snap decisions in their quest to outwit evil. With an abundance of intrigue and danger, each masterful mystery is sure to leave you breathless.

My thoughts: The first thing that I noticed from this collection of novellas is the creativity in the cover. The author's names running down the title all spaced with one letter in between. That is so creative and impressive. The geeky OCD side of me loved it.

This book is a collection of four suspense novellas. All are written by author's that I have previously read and enjoyed. It was easy for me to get into this book. Not all of them have a "happily-ever-after". I was OK with that though. The story was interesting and life doesn't always turn out the way that we hope it will.

I was swept away by the first story. A young mother's son was kidnapped by her ex-husband's criminal network. With the help of FBI agent Ethan Flanagan, they work to bring her son home and stop her husband from bothering her again. This was my favorite story of the four.

The second book deals with police corruption and girls being kidnapped and sold. As a mother, it is terrifying and I was right there with the families hoping to get their daughter's back before it is too late.

Gregg Luke's knowledge of disease is terrifying. I am saying this in a good way. I love to read his books because they are interesting and full of information. He knows how to teach and entertain at the same time.

The last book was also a favorite of mine. Kate is gullible. She has information that is at odds with each other and has to try to figure out who to trust before it is too late. She has to piece information together to come to a terrifying truth.

I would say that all of the stories are well done. This book is 372 pages long and it only took me a couple of days to read it. It is a clean book with a lot of suspense and a tiny bit of romance. There is also non-graphic violence.
