Genre: Children's Picture Book
Book Description: What does it mean to be quiet as a church mouse? This charming picture book shares the story of how one little boy learned to sit still while his imagination kept running free. With these fun and colorful illustrations, follow along as a boy and mouse discover how reverence shows our love and respect for our Savior.
My thoughts: A mother reminds her son to be "quiet as a church mouse", what does this mean? The thought stirs the imagination of the boy when he considers the possibilities of the church mouse.
This book has wonderful illustrations and engaging dialogue. I spent many wonderful hours with my small children reading books like this and discussing the meaning of the words and pictures. I think this would be a wonderful book for parents and children in figuring out expectations during church.
This book would be great to bring with you and used as a quiet book. The child could look through the illustrations and be reminded of their manners at a time when parents really want them to behave.
