Blog Tour: " Purgatory Reign" by L.M. Preston

Something evil this way comes...sadly for it, Peter Saints awaits.

Peter Saint's life stinks. But things are about to get much worst. First, his parents are murdered in front of him. Then another victim dies in his arms. Visions plague Peter with warnings that something wants him for a sinister cause. It desires the one thing that Peter refuses to give—his blood. Peter carries within him the one gift or curse that could unlock a secret to destroy the human race. On the run with Angel, a scruffy kid, Peter starts to unravel the mystery. It's the one treasure the heavens sought to hide from the world. Unfortunately, when Peter finds the answer that he hopes will save the girl he loves, he opens the door to a great evil that happens to be salivating to meet him

My thoughts:  Peter is young man (16) who has been through many trials.  The people who he cares about seem to die around him.  He is a loner and full of pesimissm.

Things come to a head for him when a girl chases him down the street.  He does his best to avoid her, but comes back to help when she is hit by a car.  She traces a symbol on his hand in blood and said that she has completed her mission. He then finds himself on the run.  Running from an unknown evil.  This evil wants him, and he doesn't know why.

I hate to admit that I haven't finished this book.  I planned on it,  but I didn't take into the consideration how groggy and tired I would be after my surgery.

What I can tell you so far.  L.M. Preston writes from Peter's perspective.  She does a wonderful job at portraying the world as he sees it.  Her voice is concise and clear.  The book has many interesting aspects.  I will be finishing it during my recovery and I am very interested to see what she has in store for Peter.

There is some swearing and sexual innuendo in the book.

.About LM Preston:  L.M. Preston loved to create poetry and short-stories as a young girl. She worked in the IT field as a Techie and Educator for over sixteen years.
