Genre: Christmas Romance

Book Description:  Have you ever known exactly what you wanted for Christmas? As a child, you may have written a letter to Santa, made a wish upon a star, or locked your dream away in your heart afraid that it might not come true if you so much as whispered it out loud. Even as adults, Christmas wishes carry a magic that can't be explained. In North for ChristmasRuby Jeavon certainly has her heart set on an engagement. It's the first step in creating the family she's always wanted. But things go slightly off course and instead of flying to Italy with her boyfriend, Ruby heads out of town to work as an elf in Nashville. Even though she's far away from her dream, she's about to discover the magic of a Nashville Christmas through the eyes of North Foxwell, her fellow elf and a Christmas expert. Even though North struggles with his own Christmas ghosts, Ruby manages to bring new light to his life. Can Ruby let go of her dream to find what her heart truly desires? Only time--at the North Pole--will tell.

My thoughts: This book brings out the true meaning of Christmas on different levels.

Ruby wants to go to Italy for the holidays. She thinks that a proposal from her boyfriend of three years is imminent and going to Italy with his family will be the perfect time and place.

Her perfect Italy plan is put in jeopardy when she doesn't have all of the funds she needs. Her mother refuses to help her out and instead sends her to check out the charitable contributions the company helps each Christmas.

She is surprised to find her mother's accountant, North, helping out the Christmas charity. They get to dress as elves and help Santa fulfill the wishes of Children and families in need. To see Christmas from this viewpoint helps her understand one of the meanings of Christmas, charity and selflessness.

The Christian aspect of Christmas is also put forth in the book. The love of the Savior and His sacrifice make a difference in the life of North. While he is full of love of other's, he needs to make some adjustments in his life to fully embrace the Season.

I love that two imperfect people who have a lot to give can learn and grow in this book. There are many great life lessons pointed out in the story.

This book is well written and very cute. It is perfect for the holiday season. It's also clean.
