Review ~ "Fool and the Dragonox: A Prequel to A Tale of Light and Shadow" by Jacob Gowans

Fool and the Dragonox: A Prequel to A Tale of Light and ShadowFool and the Dragonox: A Prequel to A Tale of Light and Shadow by Jacob Gowans
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Source: FREE on Amazon Kindle
Genre: YA Fantasy

Description:  Enter Atolas, a world where swords and daggers both extend life and end it, where magic is feared by all but a few, and where feuds and friendships influence kingdoms and courtships. In The Fool and the Dragonox, a prequel to A Tale of Light and Shadow, we meet Henry Vestin, his best friend Ruther, his sister, Maggie, and the love of his young life, Isabelle Oslan, as they begin an adventure that will help define their ongoing friendship.

My thoughts: This is a quick introduction to the characters in the "A Tale of Light and Shadow" books.

The book takes a day in the life of two of the characters, Henry and Ruther. They are fun loving teens who seem to think up adventures that put them in precarious situations. The day in the story would be one of those days that as adults you sit around the table and laugh at the stupid things you did growing up. This tale would win any competition hands down.

This short story adds to the character development and shows how much the characters have matured over the course of the series. It's a fun addition, but not essential to reading the series.
