review - Sleeping Beauty: Vampire Slayer
Lucette's parents wanted to name her Rose. But the queen of the fairys bestowes the name Lucette as her naming gift. It supposedly was a name of luck, because the queen saw tragedy in the baby's future. After the gift, the evil vampire queen comes and crashes the princesses naming party because she wasn't invited. She curses the baby, saying that when the child will prick her finger, she will only be able to be awake at nights, sleeping only in the day. Likewise, the rest of the kingdom is cursed to the opposite fate, only awake during the day, and in a deep slumber at night. Lucette would be completely alone, except for the vampires who roam around at night.
Lucette's parents do everything in their power to stop this from happening until she turns sixteen. But they are on different sides. Lucette's mom believes that one day this will all happen, so she wants her daughter to learn how to protect herself from the evil vampires and their queen. Her father on the other hand wants to do everything in his power from keeping this from happening, even if it means locking his daughter up.
All Lucette wants is to be free, and to learn to hunt vampires. She agrees with her mother, but doesn't want to upset her father, and start another huge argument between her parents. She knows they fight about her and the curse. But with a supposedly with a inevitable curse hanging over her head, is their anyway to stop it? Or away to break it? Yes. She has to find true love. Find true love when all the boys are asleep when shes awake.
This book is another choose your own path story. Three key important decisions will happen in Lucette's tale, and you get to pick which one she chooses. All together, there are eight different stories you can read, all in one tale.
I truly enjoyed this book, and give it at least four stars. I'd recommend it for third to fifth graders, or anyone who wants a fun, interesting and fast read. It is by the same author who wrote Cinderella Ninja Warrior, and that was a fun book to read as well.

I enjoyed your book review! I would really like to start a book blog. Do you have any tips you could give me to start out?
