#1. I have been spotlighted on Clean Wholesom Romance. You should stop by and follow! The blog focuses on clean romance. I love it when I know that I don't have to worry about content and can recommend it to all my friends. https://www.cleanwholesomeromance.com/2018/07/05/clean-wholesome-romance-blogger-spotlight-bookworm-lisa/
I had the opportunity to meet the blogger behind the blog last year when I went to St. George for my son's baseball tournament. It was great to meet Kathy. I'm not fond of posting pictures of myself, but there you go, that's me on the right!
#2. I am lucky to get to know my nephew this week. He is 20 months and spending the week with me while his parents are on a house boat having a good time. (Really, I don't mind.) He is spunky, happy, and keeping me on my toes. Right now he is refusing to get out of bed, so it gives me a few minutes to write a post.
For stopping by and reading this non-book related post. I have three books that have been sitting on my shelf for giveaways. If you comment on what fun, exciting, or even relaxing plans you have this summer, you will be entered to win all three. Must be 18 or older to enter. Because I am paying for shipping, it needs to be a US address. Contest ends on July 23rd with the winner announced on the 24th.

I'm going home to visit my family next week!
ReplyDeleteFun! A visit home is always a good thing.
DeleteI'm getting my oldest ready for college!! That's more scary than exciting, just like you sending yours on a mission. But they're great kids and we're excited for them, right?
ReplyDeleteYup! I just wish they didn't grow up so fast.
DeleteWish I was relaxing but between my girls plays and my boys summer school we have been keeping really busy.by the end of July hoping to relax more.
ReplyDeleteI seriously do not know you do it. You are always going and with a smile on your face. You are amazing.
DeleteMy mom just got home from the hospital and we will be sticking close to home this summer!
ReplyDeleteI hope she is doing well. Recovery is not fun, but worth it.
DeleteSo far we have had 2 grand babies born Maggie a few days ago and Zack today. We can't do alot s it gets far too hot. But taking care of Grandchildren is wonderful and its year round.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to get to the Grandma stage one of these days. I look at taking care of my nephew as a practice run.
DeleteThis summer we will be going to South Carolina to visit family! Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your son! We’re attending a week-long family reunion at my parents’ house (that’s an hour away). Love seeing everyone for the first time in about 5 years!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like fun. Getting away with family is a great way to spend the week.
DeleteLife with a 20 month old is but a faint memory. I'd have to baby proof my house again. Sounds fun but busy. I love when life is boring - and right now we're just doing the same old, same old. Youngest daughter is working full time to save up money for college in the fall so no summer vacation plans for us this year.
ReplyDeleteMy house is not baby proof. I spend a lot of time running after him removing things from his hands and putting them up someplace high. To say the least, my house is not looking it's best right now. :)
DeleteI'm in charge of Beehive Camp and I'm teaching a four week Genealogy class at our local community technology center.
ReplyDeleteIt's been several years since I've been to girls camp. Sounds like fun.
DeleteCongratulations to your son! Missions are such a blessing.
ReplyDeleteWe have a great summer ahead. Camping. Family reunions. Camping. Relaxing. And finishing our basement. It’s gonna be a busy and fun summer!!!
I've done most of my vacations, visited my family in Washington State, Montana, and Idaho, then went to the Grand Canyon with my in-laws, and am finally luxuriating in a week off of work, in my company's reset week. I have been doing SO MUCH reading and look forward to updating some reviews as well!
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa! How fun to be spotlighted. I always love getting to know new bloggers and reading reviews for clean Christian fiction. The three books pictured above are on my wishlist also. Was Unforgettable the book the publishing company sent out a survey on the cover to some people? I think I recall voting on what cover I liked best for that one. Cute nephew, he looks like he is enjoying his time at your home! Also, congrats to your son! My brother served in Arizona way back on the 90's, and he had a great time/experiences sharing the gospel with people there.
ReplyDeleteAs for summer plans we are keeping things in-state because of our budget, but next week my boys are going to cub scout day camp. We have visited family and went to Lake Michigan, fishing, tubing, trips to a trampoline park, etc.
